ECHO is excited to announce they are launching a new digital media project, ‘Sound & Vision Hub’, looking particularly at all aspects of what goes into video making, for social media, presentations, podcasts and as stand-alone quality videos.

It is a ‘hands on’ project, where participants learn about digital video recording and editing, sound recording, audio editing, creating music, and soundtracks, photography, taking images and more. ECHO usually works with people aged 18 and above but for this project will consider place for anyone 16 or older.

ECHO had limited funding to start with a small group from January 2025 to run a pilot scheme for three months, which has now come to an end, and has just received news that Herefordshire Council have approved the project as part of their Activities Framework.

The aim of the project is not just to upskill participants but to further the charity’s aim of including their clients throughout the structure of the organisation by engaging with the project in the production of promotional and marketing materials.

Upskilling in these areas provides experience for those with an interest in marketing, creative media, administrative roles, as a taster for further education or to develop personal interests.

Open: Thursdays, 9.30am to 3.30pm

COST: ECHO is an approved provider with Herefordshire Council and so the cost of attending a day service can often be included in a support plan. We accept commissioned places, direct payments or self funded attendees
