We have a brand new event for this summer – ECHO’s Big Fat Duck Race!
What’s a duck race? Well, a duck race is a fundraising event where rubber ducks are released into a body of water and the first duck to cross the finish line wins. Participants “adopt” a duck by purchasing a raffle ticket that corresponds to a duck! Duck races are held around the world, including at Disneyland, in Deming, New Mexico, and in Luxembourg and many other places.
And now… Leominster!
All you have to do is buy a duck for £2 which will then be entered into our fabulous duck race along the river by Studio Mirai ,on Saturday 19th July. We hope you’ll come along and cheer our little yellow friends as they battle it out along the river – if your duck out-swims the others you could win a cash prize!.
We will be selling ducks online at various stalls, fetes and supermarkets in the coming months and in the office at West Street.
Tickets will be available from 24th February.
