Participants are at the heart of every decision that ECHO makes. This Advocacy Assistant role is part of our participant involvement team that helps to ensure that people with disabilities can fully engage and express their views on topics that are important to them.
ECHO is a charity mainly working with people with moderate or severe learning difficulties. We also support people with mental health needs or who have physical or sensory impairments. ECHO runs 30 different activities each week in community settings across Herefordshire.
Reporting to the Participant Involvement Worker, this role will help to support participants and assist with the administration for this area of work. The post would suit someone with experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a work-based setting, or someone with great people skills who has a passion for enabling and including people with disabilities. The successful candidate will be well organised and able to undertake various administrative tasks using a computer.
It is a part time appointment of 15 hours per week. Hours to be spread between 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (working pattern open to negotiation). This will be based in Leominster with travel to our ECHO projects in Leominster and Hereford required. However, on occasion the Advocacy Assistant may need to work outside of these times, which may include evenings or weekends.
The post will be paid £10,214.01 pa for 15 hours per week.
